How OptImg keeps images on your device and uses minimal, aggregate site measurement.
Last updated:
Images stay on your device
OptImg processes images in your browser. Image bytes, file names, and image contents are not uploaded to OptImg servers. Your browser downloads the application code and performs the requested work locally on your device.
Minimal site measurement
We use Cloudflare edge analytics and Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand aggregate visits, page performance, countries, and page paths. Cloudflare Web Analytics is designed without cookies or cross-site tracking and does not provide us with a profile of an individual visitor.
We also record a small set of aggregate product events through Cloudflare Workers Analytics Engine, such as a tool starting, completing, downloading, or returning a bounded error code. These events are used to measure reliability and the effect of advertising on the product experience.
- We do not record image data, file names, full query strings, or free-form error messages.
- We do not create user or session IDs, use persistent analytics identifiers, or track people across sites.
- Aggregate custom events are retained for up to three months. Cloudflare Web Analytics data is available for up to six months.
Advertising
OptImg is preparing to use Google AdSense. When advertising is enabled, Google and its partners may process IP addresses, device identifiers, cookies, or similar technologies to deliver, measure, and protect ads. Where required, advertising requests will follow the choices collected through a Google-certified consent management platform.
You can learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Infrastructure and transfers
The website is delivered through Cloudflare. Standard network requests necessarily expose connection information such as an IP address to Cloudflare so it can deliver and protect the site. OptImg does not store that address in its custom analytics dataset.
Your choices
You may block analytics or advertising requests with browser controls or content blockers without losing the core image-processing features. When an advertising consent message applies, you can reject or change advertising choices through that message.
