Why do hair and fur come out looking rough?
Because the edge there is not really an edge. A strand of hair is thinner than a pixel, so each pixel along the outline is part subject and part background mixed together, and any cutout has to guess how much of each. Fine hair, fur, feathers, smoke and motion blur are the classic hard cases for every tool, paid ones included. Two things help a lot: strong contrast between the subject and what is behind it, and avoiding a background whose colour closely matches the hair. If the result will sit on a solid colour anyway, choosing that colour here rather than exporting transparency often hides the remaining fringe entirely.
Can I fix a spot the tool got wrong?

Does it work on logos, screenshots and flat graphics?
Less well than you might expect, because it was built to find a photographic subject rather than to select a colour. For a logo on a plain white background, a tool that removes one colour will give you a cleaner and more predictable result. What should I use as the background for product photos?
