Upscale PNG images
Upscale a PNG image to 2× or 4×, free and 100% in your browser. No upload, no signup — detail is rebuilt automatically at full resolution.
How to upscale an image
- Drop or pick your PNG image.
- Choose 2× or 4× — the enlargement runs entirely on your device.
- Compare against the original with the slider and save the result.
About upscaling
PNG is a lossless format with an alpha channel, pixel-perfect for logos, screenshots and line art. A PNG's transparency survives the enlargement: the result is delivered as a PNG with the alpha channel scaled to match.
Detail is rebuilt on your device as the image grows — edges and texture are redrawn instead of stretched, so small images come out crisp. Nothing is uploaded, and the full-size result is free. The first run downloads the upscaler (~9 MB) once; your browser keeps it for later visits.
Frequently asked questions
- Is my PNG uploaded to a server?
- No. The PNG is enlarged entirely in your browser: it never leaves your device, and there's no queue and no account.
- How is this better than normal resizing?
- Normal resizing spreads the same pixels over a larger area, which blurs. This tool redraws edges and fine texture at the new size — the before/after slider shows the difference on your own image.
- What format is the result?
- A PNG at the enlarged resolution. Your file's transparency is preserved through the enlargement.
